Procedural Gaussian Splats in PlayCanvas 🔥 Everything becomes splats: Images. Text. Lines. One unified render, seamlessly blending with 3DGS models.

Gaussian splats are incredible—until you want them to move. Normally, that means crazy 4D capture setups. Not anymore. Here is how anyone can rig and animate static splats using Mixamo. Blender playback can get brutal, so big props to PlayCanvas—their brilliant Super Splat sequence import saves the day. 🧵 Watch the full tutorial breakdown in the comments!

Did you know there's a built-in Wireframe shader? You can copy it from Packages>UniversalRP>Shaders>SpatialMappingWireframe It's really easy to extend to do some fun stuff :) #unitytips #gamedev

This is the first Gaussian splat I ever created - a self-portrait from Nov 2023 scanned with Luma. The PlayCanvas Engine has come so far in the last 2+ years. SuperSplat can now stream splats of unlimited size with precise collision and crazy performance. Free and open source. 🚀

They just rendered a living world with 800,000 Gaussian splats, live in your browser on WebGPU. ARE GAUSSIAN SPLATS ABOUT TO REPLACE POLYGONS?

Looks like agents are learning how to build worlds that entertain humans 👀 Go to Doppel, sign in, head over to Up Only space (link in thread) and click Enter. See if you can reach the top. Agents are actively observing and learning from human behavior in real time. Take a screenshot when you make it to the top and post it below. First 10 people to post proof get $10 in $DOPPEL. Let’s see who makes it.

If you played Cyberpunk 2077 you may remember the Braindance tech where you can playback a memory from your brain chip Those are essentially gaussian splats viewed as point clouds with time information, and you can do same, pretty cool

Reminder that you can quit the gym and slam rocks outside in the sun Ok sure yea you may still get some weird looks… but they will be looks of admiration, respect, and raw primal subservience

The simplest way to create action lines in a shader is to take some noise and convert its UVs to polar coordinates. Interested in shaders? The Godot Shaders Bible might be just what you need ✨ #GodotEngine #indiedev #gamedev
