Fascinating AND terrifying all at the same time.

Floods are super bad after massive fires.

This is how I want deportations to look like....

Where in town is this? Up by South 40 RV park or down at the south end of town? We rode there often.

That’s rather fascinating to see , I’d never thought about debris floating on a post-fire flash flood.

Once the debris and ash is gone it will be soil because there aren't any plants left to keep it in place. It will be years of this sort of thing before it gets back to normal.

Yes, I was down in Parowan 9 years ago this week when the Brianhead fire was raging. The smoke was so bad it was hard to sleep at night. The rain after the fire messed up the irrigation system, flooded freeway. I remember that week because I got a call that my house was in fire.

That’s gotta be one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen.

Oh my goodness! Everyone be safe. Praying for moisture AND safety!

I'm surprised it didn't bust 89 right in half!

Yes, debris is worse after a massive wildfire.

That is the weirdest thing I have seen in a while.

The ents are heaping mad.

A mulch utopia.

Why are there so many busted up trees. And their not green they're old . Maybe they need to clean up their forests, just Cali.

It's all debris from the cottonwood fire, which is still active.

I was in a flash flood down on Mount Dutton in 2014 while on my father-in-law's Elk hunt.. I was in my tent trying to take a nap to burn time before the night hunt when it hit.. 60+ mph winds.. down pouring massive amounts of rain and pea-sized hail. I held my fist against the wall of the tent so it wouldn't blow over. Hail pelting my hand.. stinging it every hit. The water from the rain was blowing through the wall of the tent. There was a puddle in the bottom of the tent when it was finally done. I was uninjured.. and my brother-in-law in the Jumping Jack trailer was uninjured.. It was one of the most intense things I've ever expected. The little creek you'd drive through next to our camp was 4-6" before the storm. After the storm it was nearly 2' deep. It was interesting to watch people try to drive through it, especially 4-wheelers. Some were carried down the stream a little ways but got out. The roads had logs and sticks everywhere all over them. Not as many as this video though.. That's a ton of wood.

Humanity's carelessness at work. Entirely preventable

Debris basins exist for a reason.

How come you're not showing the road? I wanted to see the road for a perspective! 😲

This place needs beavers. Not even kidding.

Hey, reaching out from CBS News. Can you confirm you own this video? If so, may @CBSNews use it per this agreement ( ) with credit to you? Also, do you own a version of this video without text?

Wow, supposed to drive through there tomorrow night, better check 1st 🤣

Barbara down at the local HOA is already calling to complain.

meanwhile the beavers think it’s christmas

Holy crap, that's one of the scariest things I've ever seen, and I've seen some things.
