Still amazes me that Neil Young wrote that song. It sounds awful when he sings it. Nicolette Larson turned that turd into a diamond.

Nicolette was a backup singer for Neil Young, and he wrote and gave this song to her. She was never able to sustain a successful solo recording career and sadly died at age 45 from liver failure, brought on by excessive use of Valium and Tylenol PM.

An excellent choice, with spot on vocals. I have loved this song since it was released in '78. Thank you for sharing AA...✌️❤️

You know you’ve made an impact, when they hold a concert in your memory. The Lotta Love Concert was a two-night tribute event held on February 21-22, 1998, at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium to honor singer Nicolette Larson, who passed away on December 16, 1997. The concert featured an all-star lineup of West Coast rock and folk artists, including Jackson Browne, Carole King, Joe Walsh, Bonnie Raitt, Little Feat, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, Jimmy Buffett, Dan Fogelberg, and Crosby, Stills & Nash. It opened with an ensemble performance of Larson’s biggest hit, “Lotta Love,” a Neil Young cover from her 1978 album *Nicolette*, and closed with a group rendition of Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend.”
