My understanding is simple: Ornstein is a senior English football correspondent at The Athletic, previously with the BBC, and this is exactly the kind of domestic football investigation his access and role cover. Fabrizio Romano operates differently, with his main focus being transfers, managers and player-related news. So I don’t think his silence should automatically be interpreted as bias or fear. Unless there is an official statement or something directly relevant to his reporting, he may simply choose not to involve himself in an ongoing confidential legal process. Different journalists have different areas, sources and approaches. That’s it.
