I always consider this type of technology when people talk about a world altering event. We may be able to use stored chips or strip parts of existing hardware. But to ever get back to this level of technology take at least 100 years. The world is more interconnected than we think.

Advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic

The fact we can pick up an Apple M4 chip as advanced as it is with 3 nm so easily is not appreciated.

Blows my mind that there are humans smart enough to build them.

So our entire civilisational technology rests on one company?
