Senator Markwayne Mullin’s Markwayne Mullin Senate hearing for his Homeland Security Secretary nomination didn’t get much coverage this week, but one takeaway from the hearing is what was said about the horrific effects the Senate Democrats’ decision to defund DHS is having on American families. Mullin said, “It’s unconscionable. How can you sit there with a straight face and say that we’re trying to take care of the American worker when you’re choosing not to pay 260,000 people and affecting their families? We’ve heard the stories of families having to stand in charitable lines for basic needs or getting a loan. And like I said, this isn’t the first time. We’re a month into this. They just came out of a 43-day shutdown that they were probably just recovering from. And yet we’re still going to sit there with a straight face and say it’s not about politics.” Let’s get real. This has always been about politics for the left. They want DHS defunded in a midterm election year because their voting base consists of illegal aliens. Refusing to pass the SAVE America Act and simultaneously defunding DHS ahead of 2026 is all part of the plan to have America’s elections interfered with by illegals. The great replacement is real.

The only issue with Cornyn’s statements is the fact that Cornyn supported Biden’s efforts to resettle Afghan refugees in America.
