I bet long term, SpaceX is going to be the default choice for overseas cargo deliveries, especially when Starship is proven to work. “Once you achieve full reusability, then it’s simply the cost of access to orbit is just the cost of propellant, because now you can reuse all aspects of the vehicle. The propellant we use for the Starship is liquid oxygen and liquid methane, which is the cheapest propellant you could possibly get. …So the cost of propellant for Starship will be less than the cost of jet aviation fuel, which means that you should be able to actually send cargo to space for less than the cost of cargo of an airplane going on a transoceanic trip.”

SpaceX is already preparing for demolishing Pad A systems. This morning they have emptied the CO2 tanks used for the Booster's fire suppression system. Last night after the launch the water tanks were emptied for the final time. Going to be a massive amount of work taking place in the coming week/months 🎥: NSF - NASASpaceflight.com

This is not a regular fuel filler cap 👀 Endurance teams use a Stäubli refuelling connector to make pit stops as fast and efficient as possible ⛽️ Once it locks onto the tank, the mechanic pushes the filler down: fuel flows in, air is vented out, and when the fuel comes back up the side tube and hits the red marker, the tank is full. The result? 24 litres of fuel in under 6 seconds 🤯 #YamahaRacing #FIMEWC #Suzuka8Hours

First recorded Starship Gasifier test today at Mcgregor LSCS by NSF - NASASpaceflight.com cameras. They've been testing this system for a while but almost always missed because of how generally quiet they are. This test in particular is 12 minutes in duration For the uninitiated the gasifier they are developing is a small dual pump+burner combo that will be installed within the ship in the near future, intended to extend it's orbital lifespan by allowing it to generate gaseous oxygen and methane from its existing liquid propellant stores primarily to maintain pressure in the tanks for long duration missions, but also to supply hot gas thrusters and perform tank settling, without igniting the Raptors. (The large fire is normal, that's the hot gas exhaust directed pretty much directly opposite the view of the camera)

A woman in Russia's city of Bryansk says that the fuel situation is now so bad that they may no longer be able to use cars at all, as fuel lines are endless and prices at 140 rubles per liter ($7.25 US gallon) if you can find it at all.

Now the Mon River in #pittsburgh is beginning to get covered in snow as it falls atop the ice. Really cool to see a barge cutting through it. Roads have been decent, tons of plows out. Huge thank you to public works and PennDot clearing them as fast as the snow is falling.

The same rocket has now flown multiple times, landing safely and proving reuse is no longer a theory, it’s routine. Those satellites will soon help deliver internet around the world, even in the hardest-to-reach places. While others hype concepts, Elon keeps launching real hardware and changing how space works.
