It’s interesting how stantwt often ignores Miyeon when it comes to 4th gen visuals debate whereas in Chinese K-pop fandom circles, she’s universally regarded as one of 4th gen’s “Divine Visuals”, alongside Karina, Wonyoung, Yuna, Sullyoon, & Heejin, usually ranked 3rd. Fan edits of these top 5 or 6...

Once again Labor and the Greens have taken an alarming and undemocratic step by blocking my bill that sought to uphold the biological definitions of 'man' and 'woman' and protect the rights of women before it even had a chance to be debated. This silencing of important discussions is not only an attack on free speech but also a complete disregard for the voices of Australians who support One Nation’s stance on protecting biological reality. As elected representatives, we all have a duty to allow debate on issues that matter to Australians. Women in this country have fought for their rights for generations, and it’s outrageous that their rights are being undermined by a small minority pushing a radical agenda. You can’t disrupt society as a whole when the majority of people in this country are either male or female. By allowing this small group to impinge on women’s rights, their private spaces, change rooms, and sporting events, you are disregarding the very women who have fought so long and hard for their place in society. How dare Labor, the Greens, and Senators Pocock, Tyrell and Thorpe deny women these rights without an open and honest debate! Biological sex is a reality, and it’s critical in how we deal with these issues. It’s quite telling when feminists, who’ve never supported me before, are coming out and saying, “I’ve got to support Pauline Hanson on this one. She’s right.” So what are Labor and the Greens so afraid of? Is this purely about securing votes or political gain? Common sense must prevail. Listen to the Australian people. They want debate. They want answers. They want fairness. They don’t want to be shut down. This government, with the help of a few crossbenchers, is doing everything it can to silence those who stand up for biological reality and women’s rights. Australians deserve better. It’s time to stand up for women’s rights, for biological reality, and for the democratic process. Let’s have the debate, not shut it down. It’s time to put the people of Australia first. This video contains the full debate on the bill so I encourage you to watch it, hear the arguments for yourself, and see the pathetic arguments Labor and the Greens are using to shut down these important discussions are being silenced in Parliament.

Rethinking Everyday Life in China 🇨🇳🇺🇸 She’s not saying everything in China is perfect, nor is she packing her bags to move there tomorrow. But the more she learns, the more she starts to understand why the American government has worked so hard to control the narrative about China. Take something as simple as ice cubes—why are they so much clearer in China? Unlike in the U.S., where water often needs to be boiled or specially filtered to avoid cloudiness, their ice is consistently crystal clear without extra effort. Then there’s the café culture. The drinks in China not only look better but seem to have more variety, creativity, and attention to detail than what’s found at Starbucks or Dunkin’. The presentation and quality are on an entirely different level. Grocery shopping is another surprise. After watching a Chinese grocery haul, she was stunned—two full bags of fresh, vibrant produce, all for the equivalent of just $5. In the U.S., the same amount would cost significantly more, and the quality often wouldn’t compare. And then there’s breakfast culture. In China, people regularly go out for breakfast—not just for a quick coffee and a pastry, but for a full meal, including a drink, for about $1.50. Meanwhile, a basic coffee in the U.S. can easily cost more than $5. Of course, she’s not ignoring the political and governmental issues in China. There are aspects of communism and state control that she strongly disagrees with. But when it comes to everyday living, what people experience in China seems remarkably better than what Americans are often led to believe. It raises a question—how much of what is said about China is the truth, and how much is carefully crafted messaging designed to prevent people from questioning the state of things at home? 🤔 #RedNote #xiaohongshu #tiktokrefugee

JOONGDUNK URANUS UNIQUE #UranusClinicxJoongDunk : as a pair you’re partners how do you take care of each other? how do you navigate your relationship? how do you manage a 5-year relationship as partners? 🌞honestly we just take things naturally. both have managers who arrange our schedules according to our work. on days when we see each other … we work together. on days when we don’t we each go do our own things go to the gym and live our everyday lives. he makes desserts. these days you see him making desserts quite often. i eat some too. and sometimes fans buy them for and things. so these days he might be making desserts .. while i might go work with my band or do other things. actually i also have other series to film so we just mix everything together. but of course there are always events where we get to see each other. like today we got to meet at Uranus Clinic or we might have a fanmeet. actually tomorrow we’re flying together to Rome and then we’re going to Japan and there’s Korea too 🌞: so we’ll still be together and keep seeing each other regularly : do you ever exchange or share activities with each other? 🌻and if there’s an activity that we share i guess it would be dancing cause dancing is actually one of the essentials of this era. there are concerts fancons fan meetings—there are many different kinds of fan events. but one of the things that definitely comes with them is singing and dancing. so that’s something we can enjoy as a joint activity

Here a mother elephant with twine, as seen in Corbett. Twins in elephants are not just rare; they are a fascinating lesson in population dynamics. In ecology, scientists often describe species using two reproductive strategies: r-selected and K-selected. These terms come from population growth equations. “r” represents the intrinsic rate of population growth - how fast a species can multiply. “K” represents the carrying capacity of an ecosystem - the maximum population that the environment can sustainably support. Species that follow the r-strategy focus on rapid multiplication. They produce many offspring because survival chances are low. Think of insects, frogs or many fish. Their formula is simple: more babies = better chance that some survive. Elephants belong to the opposite category; K-selected species. These animals live near the carrying capacity (K) of their habitat, so competition for resources is high. Instead of producing many young, they invest heavily in very few. For elephants: Pregnancy lasts nearly 22 months Usually only one calf is born Mothers and herds spend years protecting and raising that calf Population growth is naturally slow That is why twins in elephants are so extraordinary. In a species evolutionarily designed for “few offspring, high investment,” producing two calves at once is almost an exception to the rule. In r-selected animals, twins or multiple young are common. In elephants, even one calf is a major biological investment. Two together become a remarkable event in the story of life history and population dynamics.

Crimson Desert first impressions. The Open World is massive, it feels alive and it definitely holds up to my expectations when it comes to visuals. I know some reviewers have said the game takes up to 8 hours before it gets good but honestly I immediately fell in love with it and immediately started exploring. I found the puzzles and combat awesome to play with, once you get used to the controls which feel overwhelming at first, especially remembering all of them which can be a hassle first. The main protagonist Cliff hasn't clicked with me yet, right now I feel like he's just confused and there's not so much depth that he offers, I hope that will change as I progress through the story. The story itself and quests are quite interesting and I've actually had a good laugh in the beginning of the game when you have to help a couple struggling to clean the chimney. There are definitely some issues though, I feel like the starting stamina drains too quickly especially if you're using your wings to fly, if you run out of stamina while flying and fall into waters, Cliff will almost immediately drown because the Stamina bar is empty. I haven't encountered any bugs, crashes or stutters as of yet, however there are some ghosting issues when you enter buildings which can be quite distracting. Ray Regeneration on AMD GPUs tanks the performance so I just turned it off completely and instead I'm playing on Ultra Settings, which is a bummer because that tech looked very promising and made quite the difference when it came to visuals. Another weird issue that I had is trying to enter some doors or starting conversations with story character, the button to initiate the conversation wouldn't appear unless I went away and came back to a specific position before starting it. Some other issues include pop-in issues, camera movement and double NPCs with the same voice-lines if you greet them. Overall I think its a good start to a video-game that is quite massive in scale, there are still many things that I'll have to do and progress through before I give a conclusive opinion in this game.

I’m so tired of some of you misinterpreting what Taylor said so here’s the full clip with my explanation, it turned out long but please stay here. “I have to know that like there's certain things that we have as a tradition between me and my fans … but at the same time there's sort of SO MANY OF THEM NOW” she’s not talking about the whole fandom, and sorry but if you feel offended, you must be one of the extremes she’s talking about in “…there's CORNERS of my fanbase who are going to take things to a really EXTREME place” she then talks about what, in general, swifties do “There's people who are going to try to like do detective work, figure out the details, who is that about, what is this?” and now she stars the WEIRD part: “When it gets a little bit weird for me is when people act like it's sort of like a paternity test” Idk, it’s truly not that hard to understand Taylor perspective here. Some swifties spent two years arguing about who which song on TTPD is about and how this or that “muse” is the best or who “makes her” a good songwriter. It’s sick, you can get tired of it, this conversation can go for a week or two after the album release but gaylors, maylors, widows and insufferable part of “normal” swifties can’t shut up about it. Especially after showgirl release. Y’all have been calling her dumb or calling her songwriting bad “because of the muse” as a “joke”, while she’s constancy changing with each album and trying new things each time. You don’t like this one, okay, listen to one of her 11 remaining bodies of work.

Q: Why is company culture important? In the clip below, a16z cofounder Ben Horowitz argues that culture drives how people in your company behave on a daily basis—and particularly, how they behave when you’re not looking. Is that phone call so important I need to return it today or can it wait until tomorrow? Can I ask for a raise before my annual review? Is the quality of this document good enough or should I keep working on it? Do I have to be on time for that meeting? Should I stay at the Four Seasons or the Red Roof Inn? Should I go home at 5 p.m. or 8 p.m.? Should we discuss the color of this new product for five minutes or thirty hours? If I know something is badly broken in the company, should I say something? Whom should I tell? Is winning more important than ethics? None of these things are in your mission statement or OKRs, but they determine many important things for your company, such as how people experience your company, what you’re like to do business with, what your company is like to work at, etc. And as Ben describes, what drives the culture is all of the little behaviors and cues people take on: “this is what I have to do to succeed in this company.” Culture can feel abstract and secondary when you pit it against a concrete result that’s right in front of you, but it’s a strategic investment in the company doing things the right way when you are not looking. It’s the set of assumptions your employees use to resolve the problems they face every day. It’s how they behave when no one is looking. If you don’t methodically set your culture, then two-thirds of it will end up being accidental, and the rest will be a mistake. If you’re looking for a more in-depth guide to culture and how to build a great one, I’d recommend Ben’s book: What You Do Is Who You Are.
