Panchkula’s Khair forest area, over 10,000 trees were allegedly cut overnight using silent cutters. The costly Khair wood was reportedly moved on camels, and the stumps were burned to hide evidence. Forest guard Vijay Kumar, who says seeing trees cut felt like losing family, reported it to the forest minister. Instead of action, he was suspended. Idaho: Incredible work being done up on the Salmon Challis National Forest. They completed thousands of acres of prescribed fire this last week. You can see the vast amounts of dead standing fuels they are trying to mitigate. “Salmon-Challis National Forest staff successfully implemented 2,200 acres of prescribed fire, 13 miles east of Mackay, Idaho. This prescribed burn is part of the South Lost River Restoration Project. The purpose of this project is to improve forest health stand conditions and wildlife habitat by introducing fire back into a landscape that has missed historic fire return intervals. Missed fire intervals have led to declining forest stand health resulting from high tree densities and tight closed canopies. Using fire under prescribed conditions will result in canopy mortality and ground vegetation reduction that will improve stand health and wildlife habitat. Fire severities are expected to vary across prescribed fire area with some areas experiencing high severity fire which may result in 2-20 acre stand openings due to fire mortality.” Thanks to the individual who shared this view of the burn.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini donned a turban and delivered a speech in Punjabi, focusing on the upcoming Punjab Legislative Assembly elections in 2027. This gentleman on the motorcycle is approaching a van on the side of the road, he notices the tires are all missing and that it’s on fire. He tells for the driver to get out of the car and that they need to call 9-1-1, she refuses and asks him to just take her home. Another motorist stops and he and the motorist use fire extinguishers to try to put the fire out but it doesn’t work. All this time has passed and everyone wants to stop and record, wouldn’t the first thing to do is to call the fire department, did she not want to call because she may have been drinking?
