I remember watching this at the age of 12-14 could not believe what I was watching loved Blake's 7 still do... A few days later we had an English class .. I wrote the next Blake's 7 script can't remember what happened after that but that's how much I loved the show

Its a shame we didn’t see Avon return. The only character left open.

I still think of this from time to time. I was shocked as an SF loving kid of about 12 when I saw this. All of them? Villa? Avon... Nooooooooo!!!!!

Blake’s 7 public service: increasing suspense for every other science fiction show by demonstrating that the bad guys can win

I was aged 10 when I saw this. I was shocked by the killing of Blake, which was my abiding impression. The juxtaposition of the others falling bloodless & slow-mo though, led us to believe they were just stunned. So I didn't think it was the end. More a case of 'Get out of That'.

Still destroys me 40 years later - the step across Blake, the brilliant last 10 seconds. Superb.
