Nigel Farage says Reform UK would abolish 'indefinite leave to remain', which allows migrants to apply for permanent residency in the UK after five years. Those who already have settled status would have to reapply for a new, stricter visa, which requires a higher salary threshold and better standard of English. He says it's intended to reverse the so-called 'Boriswave' - the huge rise in legal migration when Boris Johnson was Prime Minister. Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davy has branded Reform a threat to democracy and British values.
