I love Home Depot. A couple years back I saw a dude ratchet strapping 5 sheets of 3/4 ply, about 15 2x6's @ 10', and 2 pre-hung exterior doors to the roof of his Kia Rio subcompact car. Humans are bonkers. Absolute Insanity. Not Gonna Work.

The wife used to want to go visit HD on the weekends. As a carpenter I feel there’s no worse place than HD on a Saturday or Sunday. 99% of the reason is single women and stupid men who own Ryobi tools. I said what I said 😂

Same problem at work. Managers that got a D in Physics 101 are running manufacturing plants. They waste hundreds of thousands of dollars on vanity projects for their quarterly PowerPoint presentation. Meanwhile the Maintenance department can't get parts to fix worn out equipment.

If it was gonna work they would rent the truck which I have done on occassion with big or heavy items. Although you should make sure 1 is available before your purchase. Did a retaining wall project. Reserved prior to purchase. Guy miffed I got last one and he had his product.

I came into my marriage with way more tools than my husband. I love when men with assumptions come up to me at Home Depot. I tend to lean into their assumption, waste their time and put them to work.

I haven’t seen Adam in decades! When did he become such a bitter pessimist? By the way, sometimes people have things cut at Home Depot because it won’t fit in their car not because they don’t have a saw at home. Though it seems she may have overestimated her car’s capacity. Also, any attempt at DIY is inspiring, people learn as they go… Just like in life.

This video, albeit hilarious, stands in stark contrast to your "don't hire someone to do it....DO IT YOURSELF" message, which I think is more of what we need.

Eh, sometimes I have them make a cut because it’s easier than breaking down 4x8 sheet goods in my garage by myself. I’ll have them rip it once. So there are some situations where it can be benefited.

@adamcarolla I assume my look makes me stand out in Home Depot like a stripper in a club. The random questions I get while seeing their cart . I smile, sympathize, help but always think it ain’t gonna work!

Back in the 90's when HD was a real store, and hired real contractors, I worked there and people would come describe their project and you could tell them, no that's not gonna work, and save yourself time having to put it back on the shelf when they returned it.

🤣 She is making one of 4 things. A-It's a "Cat-tree", or B-It's a macramé project her cat will turn into a "Cat-tree", or C-She viewed too many of those redecorating reality shows & conned herself into thinking she can do the same, or D-it's a she hates Trump/I.C.E. lawn sign.
