Farmers pay tax all of their lives. There are no unemployed on the farms of Britain. There are no farmers ever on benefits. There are no farmers ever on strike. There are no farmers living free in hotels full board. Labour will fall by the strength of farmers. There is no stronger community than our farmers.

"its not a death tax" but it is only paid when someone dies. These people need a good bit of starvation to focus their minds somewhat. I hope the farmers plough this government into the ground.

For perspective.....the inheritance tax threshold has been frozen since 2009..........it has not kept pace with inflation The cost of buying a single tractor on the other hand has increased by more than 44% in just a nine year period

Hutton's arguments in favour of inheritance tax need debating. Surely being able to inherit a farm enables a younger generation to move into farming, why does he think that only very wealthy young people with no connection to a farm should be these imaginary innovators.

What utter idiocy. Will Hutton Completely lacks any understating in the economics of farming.

Hutton is a spiteful commie moron who thinks milk comes from Waitrose. Has no interest in understanding the sacrifices farmers make alongside their contribution to the economy.
