How come someone with 24 crore worth of assets even ask for maintainance. The concept of maintainance is to help the weak with some support to survive. Not to extract money. Laws must be changed.

Alimony is not birthright... women now are empowered enough to work and earn their own living. The couple has come to court to get divorced legally. Yes some women and equally men need help but cannot be a birthright
