Greenland is posting record snow and ice gains in the middle of its melt season. DMI data shows surface mass in July 2026 spiking well beyond the 1981-2010 mean. Mid-July is when Greenland should be losing several gigatons a day. Instead, the ice sheet is adding mass with the July 12 map showing gains across broad areas.
