Donald Trump goes off-script and launches political attack in front of the King. King Charles could veto any Act of Parliament he wishes, and effectively hold Parliament hostage as a result. It would cause a huge constitutional crisis if he did, and its literally because the Royal Family is told from birth that they should not block the will of the people as expressed through Parliament that this does not happen. This is not to say they don't have other ways of 'influencing' policy, but they know their place. If the king exercised his theoretical power there would likely be an uprising to depose the monarchy
