Yeah it really is a roll of the dice. My kid turned out cooler than me, thank God. But there was a time that it was touch and go. He was trending towards nerd like me and I gently nudged him into sports and he found his way. Whew, bullet dodged.

My husband and I are both Republican- our twenty something children are Democrats. We don't even discuss politics. We discuss life and how to enjoy it.

I agree with you. My 2 grown kids don't share exactly what my husband and I agree with politically. They are our precious angels and they have good hearts, are wonderful productive citizens and I could never not have a relationship with them. Our kids have the best of good qualities of us, just not some of the political views.
