Today, I visited Abor village in Enugu State to see the village children learning Maths. I turned into a teacher today as well. Some of the children don’t have teachers in their schools. Some said their teachers are always in a hurry to cover their syllabuses, while others have very uninteresting teachers. I personally experienced the joy and eagerness in the children. This gives me so much joy. The lessons will now be held Monday to Saturday, and we will run 2 batches every day because of the crowd. We will run an internal assessment every 2 weeks. This now looks like a model that will eradicate illiteracy in villages and low-income areas.

Today, we officially opened the Parents’ Overnight Suite at the Bustamante Hospital for Children, giving parents a safe and comfortable place to stay while their children receive care. Bustamante is the only specialist children’s hospital in the English-speaking Caribbean and has been serving Jamaican families for over 60 years. Each year, more than 70,000 children come here for treatment and support. This new space means parents can stay close to their children when they need them most, because we know that family support plays a big role in healing.

War not only kills our children... war also leaves deep psychological traumas and wounds. I decided for myself that after the war, if I remain alive, I will devote my free time from work to our children. Rehabilitation of children, creation of scout and other children's camps where children can relax physically and mentally, be in nature and do other interesting things and leisure activities. Also, pay special attention to the return of all children deported by russian terrorists back home to Ukraine. Our children’s childhood was taken away from them... and I want them to receive maximum love and support from us after the war. Children are our future and our everything. Everything for them. And if in the future there are tears in the eyes of our children... then they should only be tears of joy. I saw a lot during the war. But there is something that I can never calmly perceive. And it will always tear me apart. It's when I see how children suffer or die. These angels should not suffer...never.
