I cannot tell you how many times someone has come to me after they tried the “just add 5 pounds a week” programming all with the same complaints They say it’s boring, it does work, they are frustrated. As a coach I was sold on this idea, I tried it with many ages and types of people and I finally came to my own conclusion, and that is there are much better ways to program For me as a coach I want increased exposure not avoidance. When learning any skill, the more exposure to that specific skill the faster it will be learned. If strength is the goal, you cannot avoid strength and just do sets of 5. Do you know the absolute easiest way to “add 5 pounds” ?? Do less reps. That’s what zone 1 is for. You also, especially a beginner, don’t want to miss those sets of 8-12. These rep ranges offer a different stimulus and they are great for greasing the grove and learning the technique. Don’t let them scare you with fear. Heavy is relative. You are able to lift heavy and prioritize form and positions. That’s what’s great about this system, you don’t have to learn an entire new system after your first 12 weeks. You just continue to gain experience and exposure in other areas. Exercise selection, work loads, intensity etc Link to start a free week below 👇🏼

I’m going to step away for a while. Charlie meant more to me than I can put into words. I’ve been contributing to TPUSA for years, and he has been in my headphones for hundreds of hours. Yesterday my grief finally turned into anger, and I don’t like how it makes me feel. I lashed out at someone who didn’t deserve it. I don’t feel like myself, and I don’t know how to process this. Intellectually, I know he’s gone. But my heart hasn’t accepted it. Please come back, Charlie. Roll away the stone. I can’t handle this on my own. I am trying, so hard. #jingjingyu #JanJingjing oh god snap25 and jan encouraged jingjing to overcome her fear of singing 😭 🐯: i want to share first regarding singing. actually, p’jan and i had this same dream where we wanted to have a song of our own. we both like this side of the entertainment industry, like idols. i’ve always had this dream of actually wanting to become an idol. p’jan likes this side of stuff too. but something happened that made me feel… start pulling myself away from the microphone completely. i didn’t want to sing anymore. it made me anxious and stressed. so honestly, i am someone who lacks confidence when it comes to singing. i stopped singing for a long time, until i joined GMMTV, where there was an opportunity… 🐯: the management told me i might have an opportunitiy to have a song of my own now. at first, i said, “i don’t dare, i’m scared. i don’t dare to do it. i don’t dare to sing. i’m scared. i don’t want to. i’m not confident.” until i got encouragement from p’jan and snap25, who said, “but isn’t this something you like? if you don’t do it now, then when will you do it?” so i started thinking, “yeah that’s true. if i don’t do it now, when will i have the chance to sing and have my own music video again?” so i chose to overcome my own fear 🐯: these days, if you ask if i feel confident yet, i’m still not fully confident, but i have become much more happier with singing. if you ask the experience of having songs, it feels fun and new right now. and it makes me very happy with what i’ve been able to do

🐋 When it comes to socializing, I’m someone who tends to please others. It started when I was young. I was socially awkward, so I adjusted myself to fit into different situations. There are people similar to me, but they’re more firm. When they socialize, they don’t adapt as much as I do because they stand stronger in their own beliefs. 🐋 Honestly, in my view, New might be that type. There are pros and cons to this. I tend to go along with others. The advantage is that it helps me blend in easily. The downside is that it ends up affecting me. I have to follow what others want. Sometimes I just go along with things because I don’t want any trouble. 🐋 That’s why New often nags me about it. He’ll ask, “Why are you going? You don’t have to go. Do you even want to go? You’re already tired, why go?” He knows I don’t want to. When New asks if I want to go, I say no. Then he asks, “So why are you going?” And I’ll say it’s because I’m afraid people might judge me. 🐋 New tells me, “Why don’t you put yourself first? If you don’t want to go, you don’t have to force yourself. If you’re not there, it won’t really matter to them.” But I tend to overthink and worry that they’ll be upset. I’ve always been like this. 🐋 But I do understand New’s perspective. It’s just that I’ve been used to doing this since I was young, forcing myself to fit into social situations. At this point, it feels like a habit because I’ve been doing it for so long. 🐋 And now, at this age, I’ve started to prioritize myself more. I’m beginning to follow New’s advice more often. For some events, I’ll just show up briefly, take a photo, and leave, just to let them know I was there. And New would ask, “If you’re just going to do that, then why even go?” 🐋 I sometimes wonder if I should change anything.
