But don’t allow the words of other people to destroy your peace of mind or diminish your accomplishments. When the Prince of Darkness comes against you, remember: greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, because your circumstances are temporary, but your reward in heaven is eternal. People are easily offended and driven by anger, rage, and resentment. Don’t allow that emotional poison to destroy your day. Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Don’t let the devil provoke you into surrendering your peace. When you rule your spirit, respond with grace, and choose the joy of the Lord, you always win. Keep your peace, exercise your faith, and rejoice—because great is your reward.
