There was plenty of room. You didn't slow down or need to slow down. The car came out and accelerated so as not to impede you. This sort of thing happens all the time between different vehicles and different classes of vehicle.

Couple of things. Your shadow in the road shows you didn’t indicate right failing the 12 o clock Highway Code advice and you entered the roundabout at roughly the same time as the other car. How would the car know where you were going if you haven’t signalled to enter or exit?
