IT'S OUT! The Galaxy S9+ Windows installer is now public, free and open source. It takes the phone from stock Android to the Windows 11 desktop, and the app on your PC walks you through every step. Links below 👇

Get it here (Windows PC, x64 or ARM64): Exynos S9+ (SM-G965F) only for now, and you'll need your own Windows 11 ARM64 media.

The whole install, start to finish, in one take: It took 35 minutes on mine with the bootloader already unlocked. I sped up the boring parts as always🤭

It's a preview, so here's the catch: it erases the phone, and unlocking the bootloader trips Knox for good. Touch, storage and the display work. Wi-Fi, cellular, audio, camera and the GPU don't yet. The GPU is what I'm working on right now!

It's all built on the work of TianoCore EDK II, the Linux kernel and postmarketOS Exynos 9810 communities, TWRP and tiny11builder. The full list is in the repo's NOTICE.

If you try it, let me know how it went, and open an issue if something breaks! And if you want to help with the next part (the GPU and USB): Thank you! 😊

God, this is so cool! I don't know where your based out of, but not for nothing you should submit all this hacking and tinkering to our conference:

Congrats, this is awesome work 👏 I’ve been working on a similar project myself: getting Windows 10 ARM32 running on an Allwinner A23 tablet with a dual-core Cortex-A7 and just 1 GB RAM. Touchscreen is working as well.

And lags less than 25H2.......

Amazing!!! One question, does it has any kind of Dex mode? Or simply way to use an external display?

@unixterminal 👏👏👏

what is the base s9 compatibility?

Bro no one uses an S9 in 2026.

I assumed all those screenshots you kept posting were photoshopped.

@dhh Omarchy coming in soon hopefully?!

Bon travail, j'ai mon Galaxy S9 qui est au placard depuis 2020, je vais le ressortir et essayer '

with how similar the hardware is ... I wonder how hard it would be to port to the razer phone 2? I did it recently with Ubuntu Touch

Try @KRR1751 :)

Pero win11 no es una mala opción?

so cool

pog :V

Really cool!

will installing process trip the security knox chip?
