IT´S OVER FRIEZAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Then the fight starts frieza hits you 2 times and knocks you out of Super sayian 😂

Then immediately after, in the menu that shows your skills before the battle, SSJ Goku looks fucking insane. In comparison before unlocking SSJ this is what the menu looked like, Goku in base. This game’s story mode was top tier DBZ. Really got me hyped back then

To this day this is the best adaptation of this scene

Beautiful delivery of that line

Budokai 1 and burst limit really do have the best ssj goku transformation scenes

Man Budokai 1 had some of the greatest voice performances!

Budokai series slept on heavily, everybody just talks about tenkaichi

THIS MOMENT VEGETA FIRST SS MOMENT GOHAN SS2 MOMENT ALL PEAK AFFFFFFFFFF

This plays in my head once a week no joke

People don't realize how important it was for Dragon Ball games to have good story modes back in the day. Watching this shit on TV was fucking horrible.

I couldn't reliably watch DBZ as a kid so having this game to experience most of the story up to the Cell saga was amazing

Music has me ascending

Fuck i love Budokai 1-3

That line still gives me goosebumps man!

The first Funimation Z Dub I ever heard... It should have been this way in the show tbh even though I still like what we got. This game is what introduced me to the series. After that things were never gonna be the same.

Sooo iconic 🔥

It’s kinda crazy how well the cel shading helped these graphics age so well

Had to be there

Getting hyped from this scene and then getting your shit rocked by a hard freeza cpu was a reality check lol

Mannnnnn still gives me chills

Chills!

This was my 1st time seeing this scene. I saw the anime later on. The passion was real that day.

"NOW YOU WILL KNOW THE HORROR.....FRIEEE-ZAAAA!"

That line MEANT SOMETHING to younger me

Goooooooooolly the chills this still gives me.

Budokai 1 story mode still has yet to be beaten ! And I don’t see it happening because nothing has even come close.

It's crazy how faithful the shot composition in Budokai 1 tried to be with the manga.

Man Dragon ball Z Budoka8 story mode the music everything about it isgaf shit is my fav. Fuck
