No, the Saints in heaven are the "cloud of witnesses" the Apostle references in Hebrews 12:1, a few of whom he went on at great length in Hebrews 11. They participate in the Grace of God and, according to His will, pray for the Church visible.

The constant fighting back and forth between protestants and catholics is enough to make we want to become pagan.

They believe it's the same as asking a pastor or friend to pray for you on your behalf, but it's the saints that are a cloud of witnesses. They believe they pray for us to Christ in they way but in heaven. So they aren't praying to dead people, they are pleading for them to pray for them instead on their behalf.

let’s start with the Bible verse John chapter 6, where Jesus warned you three times unless you eat his flesh and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Every Catholic Mass the flesh and blood of Jesus is offered to the father for the forgiveness of our sins.
