Wheat farmers are already prohibited from taking seed from their own crops grown from seed they bought from seed companies. They agree to it when the buy the seed. I suppose the seed companies monitor that, too, and keep a tight reigns on it.

To make any money farming corn, you pretty much have to purchase seed from a small number of companies that sell you patented seed. You can't replant what you grow. They can do DNA tests to catch you cheating.

Don't plant seeds from your store produce or even big box improvement stores anyway- you can get sued and ruined by Monsanto- especially if you make content. Go local, go small, and go quick.

Y'all do know you can just BUY seeds at most stores that also sell gardening essentials like Walmart, home depot and more. Like yeah the store bought fruit and veggies are harder to propigate but just learn to germinate new seeds and make your own garden. It's really not going away. You just don't know where to look.
