When Democrats are in the majority, they nearly always succeed at passing legislation their President wants. When Republicans are in the majority, they nearly always find a way to not to pass legislation President Trump wants and then blame it on Democrats.

This notion that Republicans are coasting right now and the wind is beneath the sails of Donald Trump is just not true. Joni Ernst is not going to run for reelection in Iowa. There was a special election in Iowa earlier this week and the Democrats have now broken the Republican super majority. The polling on the generic ballot has Democrats up five to eight points. It's not looking that peachy for Republicans.
