“Most” settle for a side… George Washington was the first and last “Independent” candidate to win an American presidential election… If you find that unsettling then do something about it! If you don’t find it unsettling, then you are part of the problem. The duopoly has been a catastrophic failure for the vast majority of American citizens. Both sides have failed America, I want an independent candidate that I can relate to. A scholar, a statesman, a professional, a patriot that will defend the constitution with their life without any financially motivated agendas, that is what America needs and deserves.

The factor people are missing, partisanship aside, is the fact it’s a calculated effort to appeal to both sides of the root factors which guides “each parties” constituents to vote. I’m not going to use disparaging language here, as it serves no one other than the author whose agenda is all too easy to understand. For the democrats, it’s appealing to the overly empathetic base, who have the rose tinted glasses which compels them to believe that everyone wants what’s best, they are lost, and do not understand that there are certain segments of society which are not applicable, nor would they ever assimilate into the idea of western culture, the doctrine upon which our country was founded. Then you have the republicans, which have always had the steadfast notion of personal responsibility, America first (rightfully so), but also a dogmatic approach to social norms. That’s the key, and what is used to manipulate them, mostly the boomer and late Gen X crowd. They play on the idea of what’s right, of church like doctrine, which absolutely works in a communal setting like at home or at their church, though it’s lost at the grand scale. The rub is that both parties (at a governmental level) actively use the varying options as the wedge to divide, by design. There is common ground between the people. The issue is the limelight is focused solely on the opposition to these centering qualites. Hence our current position.
