It's quite mind-blowing that Dylan Sampson is not a finalist for the Doak Walker Award. He leads the SEC in rushing TDs (22), rushing yards (1,307), points scored (132), 100-yard rushing games (9), and eight other categories. My breakdown of why it's not adding up is below.

Imagine Sampson's numbers if the vols and Sampson played the same schedule as boise, Iowa and nc. He'd be breaking league records not conference. Total disrespect leaving him out!

![A great detail for the “rushing or dragging” scene from Whiplash: the outburst from Fletcher (JK Simmons) to Andrew (Miles Teller) has nothing to do with tempo. Pure psychological games. There are 9x takes and when Fletcher says “rushing”, “dragging” or “not my tempo”, the actual drum beats don’t match up with his corrections. Director Damien Chazelle was a jazz drummer in high school — which inspired the film — so he def set up the scene as such.
