It's really funny how the GameCube app on Switch 2 uses Mario Sunshine sounds if you're using the GC controller, and that the CRT Filter setting uses an image of it, even though that game isn't in the app yet

This will forever change how power users switch apps on MacOS MacOS is full of animations. Switching to an app means repeatedly using cmd + tab or using power tools to assign a hotkey to the app. Even if you are using the hyperkey on Raycast to open apps, you will still be faced with the animations if the app is on different desktop. I've completely solved this pain point in the latest release of SuperCmd Here's what's done 1. Completely eliminated the animation, the hotkey will instantly switch to the instance of that app, even if it's on a different desktop 2. If there are multiple instances of the same app, e.g., 4 cursor projects, it will cycle through all the open windows of that app. (even VSCode / cursor supports cycling through windows only on the current desktop) I've long wanted to solve this issue for myself, and it has been the biggest bottleneck in my productivity. I see this as a huge win for power users, specially ADHD bois! SuperCmd 1.0.7 is out, but I wanted to dedicate a post to this specific feature first. This is so fucking stupid. American soldiers "training" on Liftoff, a good simulator for FPV that the Ukrainian military uses. 1. The controller isn't even connected - look at his movements versus what's happening onscreen. 2. That's a fucking Xbox controller, not for drones.

Well, this is interesting. #BaldursGate3 uses "Point & Click" movement on PC with a M&K. Which made me curious how that would even work on Consoles. I decided to test it with my controller and out it turns out the movement system completely changes while using a controller.

Pixel art was MADE to be viewed on a CRT TV. The blooming, scanlines, etc are part of the image that smooths it out, blends colors together, and gets rid of the harsh edges. The original game artists created everything with that analog distortion in mind, so the raw pixels aren't necessarily what they intended you to see. Don't get me wrong, raw pixels can look cool too! And if you like that look, then by all means go for it. But it's worth trying a nice CRT shader on them to see if you might like it even better!

Working on a py script that can automate drawing makeup in Tomodachi Life. Using two rp2040s & the 2wiCC library, it simulates a controller, reads an image and draws it. It’s got some timing issues to figure out, but it’s working. And won’t require any modding to the Switch.

The new Product Page Header image in the App Store will not matter. First you need users to actually want to enter your App Store listing. And the reality is that a lot of users NEVER enter the listing. They search for something, see the app in the search results and download it directly from there. So the important update here is the new Search Results image. It's an app banner inside the App Store search results. And you should think about it as a persuasive ad. COPYWRITING will be what matters. Not the fancy "branding". Users are searching because they want an answer to something. Your creative needs to give them that answer immediately. And this becomes even more important with Apple Ads. You can pay to appear for the keyword, but your creative still needs to convince the user that your app is the answer they were searching for.
