"It’s really hard to live with this every day […] I really don’t experience nothing. I’m just blank in my mind. My reality is just, I’m just here on Earth.” Dee shares his horrifying personal experience with Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD) after stopping Lexapro.

They inform you that SSRIs will stop your depressive feelings, but what they don't tell you is that it also numbs ALL feelings. The door they close neurologically, doesn't just close the door for depression, but all emotions. SSRIs are terrible for you; they leave you feeling like a zombie.

Yes, but PSSD is an uncommon harm that occurs only after a patient stops taking SSRIs or similar antidepressants.

Hi I'm new here as well and his story hit home so hard I am a woman and dont have sex drive at all post ssri I feel nothing no attachment to anyone or anything my head feels blank. I have what they Call "Non emotions " .

@DrMcFillin Tragic case

Dee, I don't know if you read this, but I feel like you. It's been 3 years since my last pill of an antidepressant (which I even didn't need) and I am still emptionally and sexually numb as if I have taken the last pill this morning. You are not alone. We deserve better. #PSSD

Praying now for you. Hang in there, your Father in heaven loves you so! He made your body to heal. Look at Jesus, that’s how your Father in heaven loves you. You will come through. I bless you with a mom’s blessing, to know how He created you and know you are loved. 💜

It’s ALWAYS Lexapro!!!

"Sexual stuff is embarrassing for everybody to talk about. That’s why it’s one of the most sinister addictions, in my opinion. You can say all day long, 'I’m a drug addict,' 'I’m an alcoholic,' 'I beat my wife,' but it’s really hard for people to admit to sexual addictions."
