@itvnews @itvweather 18°C isn’t “double” 9°C because Celsius isn’t absolute — 0°C isn’t zero heat. Temperature ratios only make sense in Kelvin. 9°C = 282K, 18°C = 291K. 291/282 ≈ 1.032. So 18°C is only about 3.2% hotter than 9°C in absolute terms, not 100% hotter.
