What's really side is there is a standalone Bill that would fund just TSA employees separately from Homeland Security like the Bill Trump is trying to push. It's insane because literally both sides are refusing to pay TSA employees.

100% with you. I work as a DOD employee, & that 43-day furlough hit pretty hard. Getting paid far less the private sector, I can handle (Benefits and job stability make up for it); Congress using my paychecks as a political football just pisses me off. Hope they get paid soon.

While I agree that the shutdown is BS and the only federal "employees" that should be going without pay are the Senators and Representatives holding it up. I would much rather the Security Theater that is the TSA be eliminated entirely unless their effectiveness can be proven.
