Lupe’s main producer Soundtrakk is Pinoy (Filipino). He must have gotten this one off his Nanay & Tatay’s vinyl collection 😭
Shout out to people that think there’s no skill in sample based producing
This is one of the best sample ideas of our generation. I love the creativity and unique structure of the beat made with the sample. Soundtrakk is one of my favorite producers, and Lupe is one of my favorite MCs. 👑👑👑
This is when you know Lupe had Pinoy homies growing up lol
Kick Push had me tearing my knees and elbows up, ended up giving that skateboard away to save my own damn life.
🫨🔥👌🏿
Had to add this to my samples playlist
The music is so happy and positive sounding!
Wait I have records I got from a vintage shop that are signed with this signature
Kick push by Lupe definitely heat 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sound like something out of Lupin the third
What Atlantic did to snatch the rights to this joint out from under Lupe def wasn’t beautiful tho 😬🥶🥶
Didn’t know this. Thank you for the education 🤲🏾
HipHop Artists Are Historians
Soundtrakk did his mf thing with this 🔥
Oh they had to do some choppin lol it ain't as simple as it sounds on the song
I bet they had to pay big $ for that.
Had to pay the Filipina
Heard in this jam too
This is when hip hop was magical
Stupid fire
One of my favorites. The way samples were chopped 🔥
Fire song
It’s also a Sabor a Mi cover 🔥
The tragedy is his own label destroyed him, because he made amazing music from samples like this, and label held his work until they owned the rights to the samples. His Angela Yee was such a sad reminder labels hold back great talent.
How do u even find this sample 😂.
Bro sampling is legit awesome. You can sample someone drowning and it could be fire 👌🏾
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Celeste has some good stuff
Bolero Medley, my Tia used to baaaaaaaaaaang this whole joint.
Galing!
Atlantic Records is so evil they went and tracked down the original sampled song and proceeded to buy the rights to it so they could own more real-estate on Kick Push.
What’s better than hip hop frfr
