It's so disturbingly realistic that Gorst doesn't even recognize Bix. He destroyed her, still haunts her 2 years later, and to him she's merely a familiar face he can't quite place. The people he breaks are insignificant to him. It's such a dehumanizing type of evil + #Andor

It's why I don't mind that the scene was somewhat rushed. Putting aside that realistically she couldn't stay there for long without being caught, she could've kidnapped Gorst and spent months hurting him, it still wouldn't be enough to make up for everything he took from her +

Her victory over Gorst is less about making him suffer and more about doing something that will prevent the Empire from hurting other people the way she was hurt. That's what empowers her, even if she is still scarred and probably a part of her will always going to be +

+ sidenote one detail I found very chilling was the almost calm way she shushed him when he started struggling, and I wonder if this is something that was done to her during her torture, when she begged or struggled because by then she knew what was coming, like Gorst does here.

I interpreted it that the mission beacon was flashing earlier because Luthen facilitated this revenge for Bix to get rid of her demons and to get her and Cassian fully operational again.

yes that's exactly what happened. he needed gorst gone because the empire was expanding his torture program, and he sent bix to do it so she would hopefully be better after getting revenge

She was cold as ice – quite terrifying. Great scene. The logistics also work if you stop and think about it, but the important thing is the medicinal revenge here.
