Peter Thiel: I went to the World Economic Forum in Davos the last time in 2013, and of course, they have the same ideas as the mob. And in some ways, it is a mob. And people are there only in their capacity as representatives of corporations or of governments or of NGOs. And it really hit me: There are simply no individuals. There are no individuals in the room. There’s nobody there who’s representing themselves. And it’s this notion of the future I reject. A picture of the future where the future will be a world where there are no individuals. There are no people with ideas of their own. There’s nobody to say, this is wrong. This doesn’t make sense. And I’m going to think differently. I’m going to think for myself.

Canadians, if I’m being honest, I’m starting to lose hope that we are even capable of coming together to stop what’s happening right in front of us. Look around. We are watching policies move forward that make it easier for people to give up entirely. At some point we have to start asking ourselves why all of these things seem to be happening at the same time. There is a reason our streets are becoming unsafer each day. It’s Intentional. There is a reason that we are all struggling financially. It’s Intentional. Mental health is rising at extreme rates and MAID is becoming available for mental health in 2027. That is Intentional. here is a reason we see money being given to certain groups of individuals. Look at what it’s doing? I’ve never in my life seen so much hatred towards other human beings. It’s intentional. It’s all part of their agenda. Divide, Distract, Dismantle. The fact that you cannot see that is so alarming to me. If you think that the government actually cares about humanity, you are literally living in a delusional reality. There’s a reason they call it a political stage. There’s a reason the people on it are described as actors. Come on already, Canada. Start paying attention.

Mark Zuckerberg: “I don’t believe in delegating” “There’s this theory that a lot of people have which is that the job of a leader is to hire people and delegate things to them. My theory is there is so much going on across the company that I can’t possibly be involved in all of it, so all these people are going to have a ton of stuff they’re going to do. But fundamentally, if there’s a decision that I want to be involved with, I’m going to be involved in it… I think that’s generally a good way for founders to operate.” Mark continues: “If you’re running the company and there’s something important — at whatever level of detail in the organization — I don’t get the logic of saying, ‘I’m not going to be involved in that.’” Of course you want to have humility that you may not have the most context immediately, but in Mark’s view, the CEO must take ownership of the company’s most important problems. Leigh-Anne opens up about her difficult year, leaving Warner, and signing an independent deal with Virgin: “It’s ‘Been A Minute’ since I’ve [filmed] one of these. If I’m being honest, I feel like I was avoiding this video. It’s been a weird start to the year. I was going through a bit of a weird time with [Warner]… it’s a whole thing. I couldn’t really say anything, so it just seemed like, ‘Where’s Leigh-Anne? Where’s the music? What’s going on?’ I obviously left my label; I’m now signed with Virgin. I’m fully independent, guys! But honestly, it’s been the most amazing thing for me. I feel like it just needed to happen, to be honest. I’ve been in this industry for how long now? What’s the point in doing it if I’m not doing it my way? So that’s all positive now, and I feel really excited and really good. But when that was all happening and I was in the midst of it all, I lost both of my dogs in the space of a month. It’s just crazy. It was unexpected and they’re literally like my babies. They’re part of the family. Losing both of them in such a short space of time was vile. I’m still coming to terms with it now. It’s just been a weird time. But I think the reason why I wanted to do this video is because, sometimes when you’re going through something and you really can’t see the light, it doesn’t feel like you’re going to be be okay again… You will. You are gonna be. I’m feeling really good now. I feel like there’s so much to look forward to. I can’t WAIT to get this music out. I just wanna say thank you for sticking by me. 🐿️ i need to (find my own color too) 🐿️ i’m in the process of finding it 🐿️ it’s difficult, it’s difficult; finding your own thing is the hardest 🐿️ i’m thinking about the team’s music too…what should we talk about, what kind of music should we make… 🐿️ i think i’ve been having healthy thoughts 🐿️ i never think “i’m having such a hard time right now” so i think these are all just healthy thoughts about what i can do to do well, what i can do to put out things people will like, what i can do to put out cool things 🐿️ in order to do that, i’ve been trying attempting to live in patterns that i haven’t lived in before and there is an awkwardness that arises from that…i should give in a try

🦊 the thing i said the most while preparing for this album was “i’m no labels” “i have no labels” and i realized that there’s no need for me to be humble even when i’m making music, i just need to enjoy and express myself 🦊 i think i’ve always been a humble person so i tried to get rid of that (while making the album) and i feel like i was lacking in a lot more ways than i thought 🦊 working with a lot of producers and different people made me think “there are lot of things i’m lacking in, huh?” and it was an opportunity where i could really experience and learn a lot of things

Can't Stop The Music (1980). A 'biography' of the Village People from producer Allan Carr, this landed just as disco was losing its lustre. Grease had been a huge hit for Carr in 1978, but despite assembling a range of stars Can't Stop The Music just didn't cut it. The Village People didn't sing all their hits (In The Navy and Macho Man were left out), the comedy elements were a bit heavy handed and the music numbers felt shoehorned. So was it timing, or was it the music? Fame and The Blues Brothers did well in 1980, but Xanadu and The Apple were not that successful and Popeye bombed pretty hard. Maybe the audience just wasn't there, as Carr found out two years later with Grease 2. Musicals are tricky things to get right...

Every weekend of my life for 35 years I’ve entertained people with the music and vibes I love. Last night at KoKo (Camden Palace) - House of Love for House is a Feeling, Rave Days and Shine, was absolutely magic. It’s hard to believe the music in these clips are 33 to 37 years old. For me every track I play be it live, on the radio, on my social media. Be it new music, or the classics, is no longer a case of simply playing the tracks. It’s celebrating them, and the fact I’m still here, and people are still showing a collective passion for the same vibes I’m passionate about. Last night was an onslaught of classic House music to Classic Rave music. I love doing this, and I’m truly grateful that people still come out and hear me play, or check what I’m pushing on radio and social media. In another 35 years I’ll be 85, god willing, I’ll still be doing it like this ❤️ #djlife #dj #housemusic #rave
