Well explained, and a good reminder that when addressing sin questions we should make sure to wrap our answers back around into the gospel. If we stop our answers at "Yes this is a sin" and that is all we talk about, we contribute a bit to this confusion that law obedience is all that matters.

The problem is find is if someone is idolizing a sin and they don’t really want to stop. They hear “you can just keep sinning” If they can’t acknowledge what they are doing is a sin or wrong, then they aren’t ready to receive the gospel. The good soil is the repentant heart. Yes I still tell them, but I make sure they hear the repentance part or else they may falsely think they are saved This is what progressive churches do, they sell a cheap gospel that Jesus died to save you so you Could stay perfect just how you are

There's also no scale or balance on sin. All sin is equal in God's eyes and all sin carries the same punishment on judgment day. You don't get 6 months in hell and then let into heaven because you told some lies but you never murdered anyone

They mistake their standard of good with Gods. Shes basing her deeds off of societies ideas, and how they affected her and other people. There is no being good enough for Heaven and thats the *core* piece people misunderstand.
