They played in Nashville like an hour from me before I left the mainland. Tickets sold out immediately. But it prob wont happen again so I had to.

Today, I was invited to Umm al-Khair to take part in the commemoration marking one year since the killing of peace activist Awdah Hathaleen. I was also given one of the greatest honors of my life: inaugurating the library established in his name and memory. If Awdah were alive, I’m sure he would still be standing with his people here in Umm al-Khair, with patience and infinite hope. He would probably be holding his three little children in his arms. He would still be smiling, and we would probably be dancing with him, even though the occupation tried to take that away from us. If Awdah were alive, this dark world would hold a little more light. But his light endures. He was, and always will be, a light for his family, for his community, and for our people, for the Palestinian people.

He says Jesus did everything on the cross to fulfill the whole law and He took away all of our sins. We’re not just justified, we’re actually being made intrinsically righteous. You can’t see it yet, but it will be accomplished. We’re saved on a cross tree outside Jerusalem and we are being saved and we will be saved completely. We are an Adam, a member of this rebellious race. Imago Dei—we were created glorious in Gods image and meant for fellowship with Him and yet we are part of this rebel clan. But that’s not the end of the story… The end of the story is the new Adam came down from Heaven, laid down all His prerogatives and swept us up. That is a man who is facing death with courage because he knows Jesus.
