"It's surprising, but you go through these things. Maybe this is a bit extreme, probably. It doesn't help facing two of the best in the game the last two days. You could be swinging the bat well and run into those guys and they're kind of like a buzzsaw.... show more

🚨 Q: Do you believe the price of oil and gas will be lower before the midterm elections? PRESIDENT TRUMP: "I mean, I think so. It could be. It could be or the same or maybe a little bit higher, but it should be around the same. I think this won't be that much longer." "They're wiped out. They're wiped out. And you don't get a fair shake. We need, we need a free and fair press in this country!" "And I don't even know why people would do that. Why would they say how wonderful they're doing militarily? They're doing so well." "They're totally, the country's wiped out. We lost one airplane and we captured the two pilots. How about we save those two pilots, which no other country has the capability of doing!"

🎙️ Bill Simmons: "Maybe next year is not their year. Maybe they'll be like, 'We'll draft two more guys. This is a slow build.' But I also think [the Charlotte Hornets] could zag the other way and just go get somebody really good and make a run at it with the shooting they have."

🚨| Sir Lewis Hamilton asked about his radio message from practice, and whether he is confident in the car for tomorrow. "Well, I mean, we'll work on it. I think it's just the way of this track, you know. It's a massively demanding circuit. It's amazing to drive. But getting the right balance, and I think, interestingly, there's something... I think it's just something in how this car is set up. There's kind of some similarities to what I felt last year, so we're just working on that." "So I'm confident overnight we can find something and get it to a better place. But it's an awesome circuit. But you need to be able to sit on the rear and be comfortable that it's going to stay with you. And today I had the snaps. It just can't seem to match the other guys. So I think we'll do a deep dive tonight. We'll get some interesting readings from the simulator. But I feel like I've got a bit of a north star. It's just how do we get there. And so we're going to try and figure that out." F1 2026 || Japan

Jalen Williams on his wrist: “It sucks. It’s a very annoying process. Nobody is going to be more frustrated than me when shots are short. It’s one of those things I gotta learn throughout the game. It’s not like I’m on a bad team where I can jack 40 shots and figure it out that way… This injury is not something where you get two hand surgeries and you’re good to go. It’s over the course over the year, a year and a half and have summers to really figure it out.”

Elon Musk on why a superintelligent AI might keep humans around the way we keep chimps "Digital superintelligence is a real concern. I think it's more likely to be good than bad, but the probability of a bad outcome is not zero. The extreme case would be it wipes out humanity. Hopefully that's a low chance, but it's not zero" "Or maybe it doesn't wipe us out entirely. It's kind of like the chimps and the gorillas. There are small sections of them on Earth, and it's not like we're hunting them down, but they're contained in small areas. We don't prioritize them, and they're certainly not expanding" "So that could also be a not-great outcome, where it doesn't kill all the humans, it just keeps enough around, to study us out of curiosity, like Gorillas in the Mist. That would still not be a great outcome for humanity"

If you go back to Trump's first term and even in the second term, the number of people in the inner circle, it's very volatile. People come, people go. It's kind of like a rotation. You get too close to the sun, your wings melt and you fall out. It's not the end of the free world as we know it. I actually think these two men will get back together again. I know it's salacious, it's really an interesting story, but at the end of the day they both have attributes that the other wants. Elon is a unique individual and Trump is a unique individual. They both have huge egos. They had a bad date. It's like a marriage and they're having a fight. I'm over it already. I think this is noise frankly. I don't think it really matters long-term. They can call each other on their cell phones and work it out and they will.

Willie O'Connor DOUBLES DOWN on format issue and feels he could WIN tournament as top four seed "They're coming in fresh, we've had three hard days now. "We've come in today and we've felt the toll the last two days. "I'd feel like I could win this tournament if I come in fresh. "When these four teams go through to today and they have no playing to be done to get there, it's not fair on the rest of the field. "You can be as fit as you want say what you like, the longer this goes on the more your body feels it. It's harder for the boys that's been here that few days longer and that's no two ways about it. "Those boys know the story as well." #Darts

Robert Pattinson making a drink inspired by THE BATMAN. "So this is an Old Fashioned, the granddaddy of drinks, for The Batman, the granddaddy of superheroes and the most relevant and important. [...] Well since I started doing the part, you look into the kind of legacy of it. So many people have seen it, there's characters that look like the Batman in like ancient civilizations. I mean there's something about that face that's a very deep and primal thing. It connects to people, it connects to children, it connects to adults, and then the legacy of the movies as well. [...] It seemed like one of those parts that was, it's like climbing Everest or something. Like you kind of, you don't really feel like it's a possibility but I felt something in my heart but I really, really wanted to do it."

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on how difficult it is to shoot over Victor Wembanyama and if he figured out some things he can take into Game 2: "The second part of your question, I probably wouldn't want to say in public because I don't want to give any answers away. But yeah, it's obviously challenging. He's very tall, very long and he deters a lot of things at the rim. You've got to be smart when you go in there. Be patient, but also be aggressive and don't be too timid in there. I think you get caught worrying about it too much and you lose aggression, and that's when they really get a stranglehold on the game. You've got to be able to be aggressive but also be smart."

Carlos Mendoza was asked about Rob Thomson and Alex Cora losing their job in the context of the Mets' early-season struggles: "It's the reality. It sucks what happened to those two guys, guys that I consider one of the best at what they're doing, especially Thomps, one of my mentors. You hate to see it happen, but you understand that it's the business and when you don't see the results, it happens. I'm aware of it. I'm not going to run away from it. But the one thing I can do is just continue to show up here and get the best out of my players."

“So the rescheduling is starting, and that's a big thing- rescheduling. I want to thank Mr. And Mrs. Howard Kessler. He's one of the most successful men in the world, actually. And he had some medical difficulties, and he came upon this by accident in a way. And he said he had to go through a lot of different medications. And he said this was the one that was much better than anything else. And so he experienced it. He didn't benefit by it other than from the standpoint that he lives a much better life now. So hopefully you don't need it. But if you do need it I hear it's the best of all the alternatives. But I want to thank Howard Kessler and Michele Kessler. They really pushed us very hard. These are two people, very straight arrows. They're not into marijuana. They're not into anything. But he found this answer, and he said he's doing it for other people. And so Howard and Michele, probably they're watching or they'll be hearing about it. But they worked very hard to get this done. And it's an honor, and you've done fantastically. You all have and I appreciate it.”
