It’s the 30th anniversary of Lee Sharpe’s glorious backheel equaliser against Barcelona. One of the great Champions League goals of the 90s. Pure class. Lee Sharpe

@Sharpeyofficial My first European game watching Utd this, remember when Hughes scored the first goal and the noise was like nothing I'd ever heard, still haven't since. Romario gave our defence nightmares too

@Sharpeyofficial With a modern lens it’s just a clever finish you seen quite a few times a season but back then it was almost unseen, genius, and to do it on the Champions League against Barca even better

@Sharpeyofficial The Champions League of the 90s was the best. Even when it went to the top 2 of every league it was still good and the best of the best. Nowadays you can finish 4th, get an easy draw in that stupid league system & win it without being champions of your own respective country.

@Sharpeyofficial Remember recording that game on vhs. Was a great watch.

@Sharpeyofficial I remember hitting one of these in the playground that year 😅

@Sharpeyofficial Carlos Busquets in goal for Barca, Sergio’s dad.

@Sharpeyofficial Ince massively underrated. Complete midfielder during that era...Sublime Sharpey!

@Sharpeyofficial How good was Paul Ince too?

@Sharpeyofficial I went to this, tickets from work , Ince was immense all night. Best not talk about the return fixture

@Sharpeyofficial Fuckin steaming drunk that night🤣🤣🤣 on the ayingerbrau in sinclairs had to watch it again the next day
