Fired federal government employees are being rehired back as government contractors This is the bureaucracy cleverly reclaiming their workforce. The Trump admin needs to be aware of this “I work for a contractor for the federal government and today I onboarded 2 former GSA employees that took the Elon Musk incentive and retired early and now they're back at their same positions just through a government contractor. So basically they took a little bonus and are back and the government is paying them through a contractor to be back at their jobs”

🚨ZUCK: We had organizations looking into us that weren't even involved in Social Media. We had the CFPB looking after us. I didn't even know what that is. It's some financial institution that Elizabeth Warren set up. We're not a bank, what does Meta have to do with this? They came up with some theory and were trying really hard to make it work. I don't know how this stuff works -- is it a directive? A quiet consensus? It's tough to be at the other end of that. The US Government should be defending its companies, not at the tip of the spear attacking its companies. The EU has fined the tech companies more thsn $30B over the last 10-20 years. This is a EU wide policy for how they want to deal with tech, it's kind of like a tariff. The US Government led the attacks against their companies which gave permission for the EU and other countries to go after US companies as well. I think that the American tech industry is a bright spot in the US economy, it's a strategic advantage, and it should be part of the US' strategy going forward to defend that. I am optimistic about that with Trump, I think he just wants the US to win. At least in the US we have rule of law, you get your day in court, and we usually win, but other countries don't have that. If the US wants to remain strong, the US has to have a role in defending their tech."

I'm sorry to report that Alasdair Whitney of the Institute of Justice has taken a shameful position on Flock cameras, and at a critical moment. He argues that the cameras and network can stay up and collect all the data they collect today, as long as the government agrees that accessing the data requires a warrant. We already know that this government will spy on us in secret and without a warrant when a warrant is required by law. Edward Snowden blew the whistle on the NSA, which was doing just this. This was the one time the government was caught; how many other instances are there of the government illegally spying on us that we don't know about? And they persecute Edward Snowden for telling us this truth to this day. Does that sound like a government that has changed its ways? And we're supposed to trust this government with a warrant requirement? Alasdair Whitney didn't even ask or suggest that we should have some oversight over how the data is stored and collected. It's sitting in a cloud held by a private company that can do whatever it wants with it. There are no protections at all! And we're supposed to let this government, which spies on us in violation of the Constitution, have in place a surveillance network of control and subjugation nearly identical to those used by authoritarian regimes like North Korea and China? Shame on the Institute for Justice for being so weak at a time when we need strong voices the most.

#WATCH | Delhi | On CJP protest, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor says, "When a non-violent protest is taking place, what is the reason for a lathi-charge? Lathi charge is not an act of non-violence. It is an act of violence. I don't understand the logic of this. Similarly here in Parliament, everyone knows these are burning issues across the country. It would be logical to have a discussion on them. Parliament is supposed to be the place where we can ventilate the voice of the people, the concerns of the people. Once we do that, we all know the government has a majority. As the old saying goes, the Opposition must have its say because the government will have its way. They have the majority. But at least let parliament be a forum where these concerns can be heard, can be truly ventilated and voiced, where various people can represent the views of their constituents. Then the government can disagree. But right now, just refusing a discussion is what has led to today's disruption because the opposition wanted these issues up there, wanted an opportunity to talk about them on the floor of the house. If Parliament is not for raising these issues, then honestly, what is it for? I mean, it can't just be a sort of notice board for the government to announce its bills and get them passed with a rubber stamp. That's not what Parliament is all about. It should be a forum where all these views can be heard, discussed, debated as necessary and then passed. The Prime Minister has sought cooperation from the opposition. We'll cooperate if they cooperate. The idea should be that there should be mutual cooperation. Let them permit certain discussions. This has got to be give and take. The wealth of a people is the source of their pride as people who work and produce. A government must provide the infrastructure to build industry, markets and good prices for meat and milk.
