I've started to understand why I love mecha shows so much recently, they always try to do something new. While some shows may have similar plots, when you get to the heart of their stories, you realize how unique and different they are. Majestic Prince starts with a bang and ends with a bang. It's silly, it's fun, and it can feel like it doesn't take itself too seriously, but trust me, it does. It's not perfect, but it's perfect in its own way. I just wish it wasn't so short, because I love Team Rabbits and the entire cast of supporting characters. They all feel so real and alive. It feels kind of unfair that this franchise is supposed to end with this movie. It wasn't a long series, but it was still a lot of fun for me. I'm going to miss this show. I loved it.

Can United States manufacture robots? Matic Robots says "yes." It makes the best floor cleaning robot, that has won many perfect scores from Wired to many others. We love ours. But my trip there to get a tour from AI pioneer Navneet Dalal Navneet Dalal provided some real insights into how hard it is for a hardware company to make hardware in the United States. And how deeply AI is changing consumer electronics products that are going to be in many more homes soon. In this first part (Part II coming tomorrow) we get a look at how long it took for this company to go through prototypes to a shipping product. In the second part, you'll see the scaling hell that it takes to even ship a few thousand robots and the kinds of problems that scaling up a factory brings. Matic is one of my favorite small Silicon Valley companies. It has found what we call "product market fit." I just came back from CES where I saw many of its competitors, and the Matic wins because of not just the product thinking of Mehul and Navneet Dalal but because of their AI leadership. In a way their robot took many lessons from Tesla, from where to put the batteries to its bet on computer vision, which Navneet has been a pioneer in for years, working quietly behind the scenes. It is about to move into a new location that will allow it to grow to meet the demand that now is showing up (the boxes in its lobby show that it's outgrowing its current facilities). In terms of AI, it has aspirations of making a humanoid too, but it is taking a far more measured approach to getting there. By starting on the floor it can not just build world models based on real world data (customers are given a choice whether to allow its data to be used that way. Most customers choose to keep their data on the robot only, for privacy reasons, but if you opt in you can help them improve their models). They are using that data to understand homes. Navneet told me they hit very unusual situations in people's homes already that they couldn't really predict in simulators, like full-wall mirrors that confuse computer vision systems, or pools and water features in people's homes. Having real customers brings a ton of customer feedback about how to further improve the robot, and, as Navneet demonstrates in the second video, forces them to build a manufacturing muscle memory. Getting teams to work together, figuring out how to solve supply chain problems, from Trump's tarriffs, to a new one that showed up over the past couple of weeks. A supplier for its bags (one of the cheaper parts that goes into the robot) changed the glue it used, which caused robots to fail quality tests and the manufacturing line to stop. Reminds me a lot of the hell Elon Musk faced in its Fremont factory when Tesla was first starting to manufacture its Model 3, which almost bankrupted the company. Off the record Mehul and Navneet 🇮🇳 showed me some of the prototypes and plans for its next products that will show up over the next few years. Certainly not as sexy as Tesla, Figure, 1x_tech, and all the Chinese manufacturers are showing off already, but far better thought out for the typical Western home and AI plays a huge role in its future. It is the product that speaks for itself. It's amazing, and is about to get better this year due to AI. It's the first real vision-only robot to be in my home and I bet it won't be the last from this company. Real honor that they invited me over with my Insta360 camera (another company launched in my home, just like Matic was last year). In Part II we go into the factory.

Korea is having a real moment right now. K-pop, K-drama, K-beauty, the food, the fashion. Everyone suddenly wants a piece of it, and I love it! So it baffles me that “cultural appropriation” has become a scapegoat term for people looking to police enjoyment. I’ll never understand why some groups feel the urge to wall off your culture like its members-only. Culture is meant to be shared and enjoyed. It enriches all of us. I want to experience different music, food, and traditions. But the moment someone genuinely enjoys something from another culture, some people scream appropriation. Does anyone care who invented hoop earrings? Ever had Korean tacos? They are 🔥. Pretty sure we didn’t invent the taco. Enjoying something and fusion isn’t theft. Sometimes the remix is better. That’s human nature. So here’s what I mean: a white guy belting Black Pink at the top of his lungs, doesn’t speak a word of Korean, knows every word anyway. That’s not appropriation. I wouldn’t care if it was. That’s honor. OK, maybe not the best voice, but I thought it was cute. Feel free to enjoy my culture, I would love it! ❤️ PS: Even if you don’t, I’m still gonna enjoy yours.

#zhanglinghe's new interview with CCTV Dramas for #Overdo 🔥💬 I had never acted in a Republican drama before, so of course, one of the things that attracted me most to the script at the time was that I could experience the charm of Republican era dramas through this role. This script was different from the scripts I had encountered before. Its pace was very fast, and behind every story, or rather, every plot point, there was a hook. It would hook me and make me want to keep watching. As for my character, all of his relationships with the other characters were very complete, and every relationship would become one of the reasons that shaped his personality. I wanted to dig deeper into this character, so I chose him. Actually, love and hate are not a pair of antonyms. If there is a direction, both my love and my hate are directed vertically toward her (Susu). So can we say they are antonyms? No. They are just two ways of expressing one kind of emotion. In fact, in my view, the opposite of love should be indifference. Yes, only the direction of indifference is facing backward. My understanding is that hate is actually an emotional expression of love after it has fallen short. So when you say Murong Qingyi both loves and hates Susu, it is all because he cares about her. Ultimately, it is because she occupies a very, very large place in my heart. Everyone has seen love and hate intertwined in many dramas, but there are also different circumstances. Some people's love is very selfless and great. Although it is rare in real life nowadays, they don't ask for anything in return. But for some people's love, when your expectations fall short, they feel, "I'm in so much pain." But there is another kind of love: when my expectations fall short, I feel, "You owe me." These three are actually different feelings. In many of my previous roles, although everyone had deeply devoted characters who loved the other person very much, if you examine closely the moments when their hatred arose, you will find that their emotions were different.
