@_stopfakenews I have been waiting for such a long time to hear this from a president. Why is it that presidents and governors have term limits but Congress does not? I think I know. Because most of the power in this country come from Congress. They don’t want to lose that power.

They need to be cut down from 6 year terms to 4 and then only 2 terms max. 12 years is too long!

You're asking congress to end their life-long careers. There is not a chance in Hell that will happen. The only way to get a federal amendment passed is with a convention of states. Which is also a long shot.

So....I'm going to make this argument again... I do not support term limits. That INCLUDES the presidential term limit. Term limits limit voter choices and I don't want to limit voter choices. The real problem with elections is that PARTIES and codified election rules implemented by corrupt politicians and the major parties ALSO restrict voter choices. I'd MUCH rather clean out the entire election system and campaign finance rules than limit voters choices with term limits. BUT...you can't have presidential term limits WITHOUT Congressional term limits. And IF you are going to TERM LIMIT politicians, you ALSO have to limit ALL government employment. Otherwise you end up with a bureaucratic tyranny because the unelected bureaucrats can just wait for the elected politicians to be term limited out of office. That would literally hand the power to the institution instead of the people. SO...my preference is to end all term limits and clean out all the electioneering garbage so we could have actual fair elections and citizens could actually take ownership of their country again.

Isn't going to matter, the point of no return has been reached as 122% DEBT over GDP... the end is approaching ...

I would prefer a 75 year age limit for anyone in Federal Government, including those working in the bureaucracies. Fauci and his ilk are really the deep staters that need to be removed.

12 years is far too long. The financial incentives must be removed. They shouldn't be there for the money and benefits- only for their interest in making society a better place.

We would still have decrepit senior citizens in congress because current sitting members would be grandfathered in. That said, we still need term limits and will have to vote the useless members out.
