Washington has made it perfectly clear: I’m not their choice for the U.S. Senate, and I never will be. That’s fine. I’m not running to serve Washington. I’m running to serve Texas. The people of Texas will decide this race. I’ve survived combat. So when John Cornyn tries to threaten me with the “end of my political career,” it only reveals what he cares about most: political survival. My life has always been about service. It will continue to be, because I go where God calls me to go.

My father’s a retired Colonel, my brother, sister, and I all graduated from West Point, and in 2006, the three of us were stationed in Baghdad together. We’ve bled for this country. We’ve sacrificed for it. And now, in my early 40s, I’m ready to give my best years back, because the U.S. Senate is not a retirement home. I was the first person in the nation to endorse President Trump, and I’ve stood by him every step of the way. Now it’s time to codify the America First agenda, to carry President Trump’s legacy into the next generation of leadership. The fight for America’s future is now, and I’m the man to lead it for Texas.
