It’s wild that the whole Shuttle-on-747 piggyback concept was first validated using a simple $40 balsa-wood RC model in the 1970s. NASA engineer John Kiker literally flew a homemade model in a park to prove the separation dynamics would work when everyone else was skeptical.

This CH-47D was originally delivered to the United States Army as CH-47A in 1963. Around 1991 it was converted to a D model and flew in Afghanistan. In 2015 it was auctioned off as military surplus and now life after death, it’s fighting wild fires. 😎

Meet VLA-JEPA, the first world model policy in LeRobot 🌍 Most VLAs just learn observation → action. VLA-JEPA also learns action-relevant dynamics: during training, a JEPA world model has to predict upcoming frames in latent space from the model's own actions. Then, at inference, the world model disappears entirely, leaving a standard, fast VLA: Qwen backbone, action head, nothing extra. In our demo it was fine-tuned on just 13 examples and ran in real time on an NVIDIA DGX Spark. On a consumer RTX 3080, it hits 10Hz using under 6GB of VRAM. World-model supervision during training, zero extra cost at inference. That's the whole trick.

you added a line, the problem went away, you left it there that was two models ago the model it was correcting retired last year, and the line is still executing, on a model that would have done, the right thing on its own nothing in the file says when anything was written, so the fix and the damage sit on the page looking identical every output you have shipped, since carries the shape of a model nobody runs you have been reading it as a document it is a sediment, and nobody was going to tell you when the bottom layer expired
