Brian was box office. Heck of a scoring record as a player too. He needed Taylor alongside him though. What the pair achieved was astonishing.
Averaged 40 goals a season. No way these days, would a scorer like that stay in the 2nd tier. He loved playing in the North East and the maximum wage wasn't abolished until just before his career ending injury, so that's probably why he never went to a bigger club.
