ITV’s The Sweeney at Loftus Road.

Best sweeper QPR ever had @Robin_Askwith

The first football ground to appear in The Sweeney, was Dulwich Hamlet’s old Champion Hill ground.

Love Loftus Road..proper old school ground.

Porridge did an episode supposed to have been Elland Road

Remember this. Great clip. QPR's PR strategy - not that it was probably called that then - was quite advanced, to reach a wider audience. Around the same time, they invited Blue Peter in to get John Noakes to change a bulb on the floodlights.

@ewins_gary how I remember LR as a kid.. well maybe not John Thaw charging about .. 🔵⚪️😂

@Acko1963 Was also used for its a knockout

wasn't this the one where Haskins was under investigation?

In real life, a Manchester City supporter at Loftus Road..
