We've been working with Kev and ladislaus.eth from Ethereum Foundation and donnoh.gwei 💗 from L2BEAT 💗 on a proof of concept of EIP-8079 (native rollups) using ethrex. Native rollups reuse Ethereum's own execution to verify L2 state transitions. No ZK circuits, no fraud proofs, no complex proof systems to maintain. Every L1 upgrade is automatically inherited. Any bug in the verification is also a bug in Ethereum itself. The demo shows a full end-to-end native rollup: - L2 blocks settled to L1 via the EXECUTE precompile - L1→L2 deposit - Contract deployment and cross-layer calls - L2→L1 withdrawal with MPT proof claim - Blockscout verifying EXECUTE precompile calls on L1 Try it yourself. Instructions in the PR below.

M1 is live! The future of The Movement begins now. For the first time ever, a Move-based blockchain has migrated from an L2 to an L1. The new Movement layer one, known as "M1", liberates the network from reliance on slow and centralized services from other chains and provides a sovereign stack with lightning-fast speed, decentralized validators, and big new Move features. Key Upgrades: - High performance: 500 L2 TPS ➡️ 10,000+ L1 TPS - A dedicated validator set: true decentralized consensus - Native $MOVE staking: earn yield while helping to secure the network - Community-first staking: team and investors cannot stake locked tokens - Move 2.0: major smart contract language update for next-gen apps M1 is the dawning of a new era. Join the People's Chain. Join The Movement.

YOM 🤝 Avalanche In case you missed it YOM is building on Avalanche🔺 . Our decentralized cloud gaming network now has a home. Sub-second finality. A sovereign L1 on the roadmap. And a Foundation grant backing the vision. 1000+ nodes. 40+ publishers. $0.05/session. This is what cloud gaming looks like on the right infrastructure.

Robinhood didn’t want to be “alone on a private island” they think they’ll gain more users as an Ethereum L2 than an L1. if even Robinhood thinks that, nobody should build an L1. “We want to recreate the entire financial system onchain. We need everyone to be able to come to our island.” they chose Ethereum as the place to recreate the financial system because: → the most decentralized & secure → access to the deepest liquidity & users “If we really want the stock market onchain, we need to have this liquidity. It’s not going to be possible on a closed chain with like 20 different hoops before you can bridge.” Robinhood Chain is in private testnet, an Ethereum L2 built on the Arbitrum stack. they’ve already tokenized 1,000+ stocks.

Imagine a plane crashing and only 3% of people on the aircraft know where the emergency exits are. We need to work towards taking these backend features right into the frontend so all users can access them. An exit is only fair when it is visible to all. (Re: L2 exit to L1)

The Starknet interview. 🎬 James S chats to alex about leading an ecosystem, the year that was, and what comes next. We cover scaling Bitcoin, DeFi, finding an edge as an L2, leaning into sectors, why privacy is a given, not a narrative, and much more. 📺☕️

Is Ronin Primed to 100x? We’ve been sitting down with top tier platforms and blockchains to talk about why they could win the web3 gaming race, and we’re back for more! This time we’re looking at Ronin, with special guest Hantao✨, Cofounder of Moku✨, and friend of Ronin. Let's get into: ⭐️How is Ronin forged for gamers in a way the competitors aren’t? ✨What the heck is a closed ecosystem? 🌟Is curation better for gaming than total decentralization? 💫What THE BEST game on Ronin? & more! Listen and let us know what you think!

1/ From the very first day, we were promised that an #Ethereum node could run on any consumer device. In 2024, you can run on a $200 ARM64 board using ~10w: - 1 Archive node + a validator client - A Supernode (L1+L2 on the same device) This is called decentralization. +info👇

Today marks an important turning point for Miami-Dade County and the Everglades. We have officially regained control of the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport property, the former site of "Alligator Alcatraz." From the beginning, I have said this facility should never have been built. Now, we have a real opportunity to turn the page, permanently protect this land, and restore it as part of the greater Everglades ecosystem for generations to come.

Robinhood’s Head of Crypto explains why they’re building an Ethereum L2 “You see a lot of companies right now building their own L1. We were excited about this idea of controlling everything you want to build, but creating the security of a real, proper, decentralized chain is extremely difficult, and you basically get that for free with Ethereum.” “When you look at some of these new L1s that are being created: it’s not really decentralized and it’s not really secure — at the end of the day it’s basically a fancy database that’s a bit slower to use than an actual database, so we didn’t really see the value in that. With Ethereum we get the security by default.” “The second thing that we get by building an L2 is all of the liquidity that is already on every EVM-compatible chains. That was also a very important decision factor for us. If we really want to bring the stock market on-chain, we need to have this liquidity. It’s not going to be possible if it’s in a closed loop or a closed chain that nobody can access.” “For us, those were the two elements that we really wanted to focus on, and that’s why we decided to build on Ethereum.” Source: DeFi Dad ⟠ defidad.eth (Dec 2025)

#MakaraSankranti means it is a transition. It is for us to transition from being a source of problem to becoming a source of solution. On this Makara Sankranti day, let us take this commitment to put as many green leaves as possible on the land around us in whichever way possible. If you cannot do it, send a message to #CauveryCalling. We will put it on your behalf. Make sure this happens because this is where our future lies. My best wishes and blessings to every one of you on this day. -Sg #SaveSoil #HappyPongal #MakarSankranti #MaghBihu #Uttarayan #PaushParva #Maghi #Lohri

Johann Kerbrat on why Robinhood is building its own L2 on Ethereum At Consensus Hong Kong in February 2026, Robinhood launched a public testnet for Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 built with Arbitrum. Following six months of private testing, Robinhood plans to launch the mainnet in 2026 and will migrate tokenized US stocks and ETFs currently offered to EU customers on Arbitrum One to its own dedicated Arbitrum-powered L2 that still settles on Ethereum. Coinbase has adopted a similar strategy with its plans to take full control over Base’s tech stack and advance the L2 toward Stage 2 decentralization. Robinhood Head of Crypto Johann Kerbrat explains the rationale behind building an L2: “We can still get the security and liquidity of Ethereum, benefit from all of the work that the Arbitrum team has done, and on top of that, customize [the chain] every time we want to build something.” He continues: “If we want to give people access to all of the tools and elements of traditional finance, we also need flexibility [to comply with] what regulators are asking us to do. A world where you have full privacy and you can do whatever you want without KYC and trade securities is still a bit far for us. But what we are trying to find is a good middle ground. You will be on a permissionless chain. You will be able to interact with DeFi and do a lot of things with your stock tokens. We think it’s a great compromise.” Galaxy Head of Research Alex Thorn points out that you can embed a lot of compliance controls at the application and token layers on top of Ethereum.
