GERMANY MOVES TO TAX LONG-TERM BITCOIN GAINS. 🇩🇪 As of now, Germans pay no capital gains tax on crypto held for more than one year. Under a new budget proposal, Germany wants to change that. Crypto profits would be taxed like stocks, meaning gains would be subject to a flat capital gains tax regardless of how long the assets were held. The government says the change could raise around €2 billion per year, and calls it “modernization.”

Daily video #3 If you held altcoins this year, chances are you set your money on fire. The crypto market structure has changed (for good perhaps.) Multi-cycle altcoin holds barely exist anymore. That’s why I prefer to earn crypto and save in BTC. Crypto is the most exciting, fulfilling place to work. But we still haven’t figured out how to properly align incentives and prevent max extraction. Until we do, altcoins will be a short-term trade at best. Choose wisely, choose Bitcoin.

Dr. Marc Faber, precious metals investor, says investors are right to worry about paper money losing purchasing power, but liquidity may already be tightening as asset prices weaken. He says commercial property, crypto and residential property declines are reducing liquidity, which can pressure markets in the short term. In his view, precious metals remain one of the safer assets to hold because governments will “spend money like water,” deficits will rise, and more money printing is only a question of time.

XRP as Real Collateral Mike Higgins, CEO of Ripple Prime, put it this way: "Are the assets just dollars or US treasuries? No, it's Bitcoin, it's Ethereum, it's XRP, it's stablecoins..." He's explaining that major digital assets like XRP will be used the same way institutions currently use traditional assets, as collateral for cross-margining, margin financing, and settlement. He sees a long runway for cross-margining in crypto, both for the major assets and for trading opportunities across many other coins and perpetuals. Still early days, but this is the direction the institutional side is heading.
