Oh lord... let's not forget about the flopping either. 😂

It's the way this stuff gets peddled as fact. "Authorities" like JJ Bron and other self serving new heads need to get called on their bs. The league was growing to keep up with a game that was growing. There was a supply and demand increase.

Also the playoffs back then were harder. The first round was best of 5. Coming back from 1-1 or 0-2 in a best of seven is easier than if it were best of 5.

is it worse to have bad teams that play hard? or half the league trying to lose at the end of the year like they do now Because if the expansion teams count against MJ's era, then tanking should count against all player stats now

1/2 of the teams (15) this season finished with sub.500 records, 5 made the playoffs/play in. This is with 15 man rosters, the GLeague and NO expansion teams. Thats the very definition of watered down
