I’ve always really liked this latter day performance of Sloop John B by Brian Wilson and Al Jardine.

The guy to the left of Brian is Matt Jardine, Al’s son. He’s just as talented as any of them.

Hey guys!! I've been listening to this song lately and thought it would be fun to do a cover of it!! wdyt!? #lovesong #music #Jazz #CoverSong #Singing

That’s Matt Jardine, Al’s son singing the falsetto parts. He also sang lead on a lot of the songs Brian could no longer perform during the Pet Sounds 2016 tour.

Did you know this song was one of the first ever to be recorded in history. Not by The Beach Boys of course, but by some Caribbean group around the turn on the 1900s. RIP Brian. One of the absolute best.

I really liked it because it didn't have Mike Love in it.

Love it!!! All my pets names are music derived. Had a bird, Quaker, was really cool. Named him John B. after this song, cuz he ate up all of my corn, lolz. Miss him.

Amazing arrangement and vocals! Thank you for sharing!

Musical genius & perfectionist...Brian Wilson's impact on music can never be truly measured. I was a kid growing up in the 60's and into my teen years in the 70's with several older brothers and an older sister who loved The Beatles & The Beach Boys, I can say I grew up surrounded by their sounds...I'm a very lucky man.

No headphones for Brian..

I have no idea why this is, but I get chills every time I hear this song.

I’d never seen this before! Thanks so much for sharing!
